The Steering Guide workshop is a structured, interactive experience designed to embed strategic alignment across all levels of an organization by translating high-level strategic concepts into actionable, role-relevant behaviors and mindsets. Grounded in the Steering Guide Framework, participants create a Guiding Principle, Core Commitments, and Supporting Actions, equipping employees to internalize the company’s strategic differentiators and apply them within their unique responsibilities. Rather than relying on abstract values or top-down directives, the workshop engages participants in a hands-on process of reflection, ideation, and peer exchange to foster ownership and clarity.

The session is typically divided into two core parts. In the first half, participants are introduced to and the creation of a Steering Guide framework and then asked to develop individual narratives: one describing how they currently apply a Supporting Action in their role, and another envisioning how they could begin applying one they do not currently use. These reflections are shared with the group to surface diverse perspectives and build shared understanding. In the second half, participants expand these ideas into practical, forward-looking applications—exploring new ways to integrate Core Commitments and Supporting Actions into their workflows, team practices, and decision-making processes. The workshop concludes with a report-out, reinforcing the idea that strategy is lived through consistent, everyday actions.
